By sharing their stories, insights, and strategies for success, the book seeks to inspire and empower both aspiring and established Black women educators, while also fostering a broader understanding and appreciation of the vital role Black women play in shaping the future of education and society.
About the Author
Kashandra R. Murphy, M.Ed. is a 17-year educator, state semi-finalist Teacher of the Year, district/campus Teacher of the Year, and mentor. Focusing on educational challenges, Kashandra implements effective strategies across educational levels using her extensive training, educational expertise, and relationship-building to empower parents and communities while equipping students with the tools for lifelong learning. As a resident of Texarkana, Texas, she holds graduate degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education and is currently pursuing principal licensure.
