This book ​aims to document and celebrate their brilliance, ​persistence, and significant contributions ​throughout history and in modern contexts. By ​sharing their stories, insights, and strategies for ​success, the book seeks to inspire and empower ​both aspiring and established Black women ​educators, while also fostering a broader ​understanding and appreciation of the vital role ​Black women play in shaping the future of ​education and society.

About the Author

Dr. Roslyn Bell is a confident, resilient, and passionate school principal with 20 years of educational experience. She prides herself on being a strong advocate for students in closing the achievement gap and eliminating the disparities that exist among minority students. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University, a Master of Education degree from Texas Christian University, and a Doctorate of Education Leadership and Technology degree from Tarleton State University. Dr. Bell is a loving wife, mother, daughter, and child of God. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
