This book aims to document and celebrate their brilliance, persistence, and significant contributions throughout history and in modern contexts. By sharing their stories, insights, and strategies for success, the book seeks to inspire and empower both aspiring and established Black women educators, while also fostering a broader understanding and appreciation of the vital role Black women play in shaping the future of education and society.
About the Author
Dr. Colecia Williams is a school principal with over 18 years of experience in Texas schools. Currently, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership & Technology from Tarleton State University. Colecia's personal mission is to ensure that all students have equitable educational experiences that lead to positive outcomes. Colecia is a proud wife, mom, business owner and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
